Hi, I'm Meghan.
A Washington, DC native with an enthusiasm for people and their uniqueness, a visual storyteller with an appreciation for detail, and a self-proclaimed stovetop popcorn connoisseur. I am a firm believer in daily gratitude and a lover of all things colorful. A people-person through and through, connecting with others to create something meaningful is the very heart of my photography.
I find joy in sharing my clients’ stories –

I attended Georgetown Visitation for high school (Go White Team!) and the University of South Carolina as a student of Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism. I've always loved the dynamic buzz and excitement of hospitality so working in the Events & Catering industry for several years was a natural fit. After pursuing a degree from the Washington School of Photography in 2015, I established Meghan Francis Creative and began growing my photography business.
Over the last few years, I have fallen head over heels working with families and couples. In addition to portraits, I absolutely love putting my hospitality background to work within the restaurant world - most especially in my current marketing and photography role with a DC based restaurant group.
I am thankful everyday for my career in photography, an amazing network of clients, and the daily opportunity to work creatively.
When I am not behind the camera, you can find me relaxing with a spicy margarita or hosting friends and family with my wonderful cook of a husband, Mick, and our son, Francis.
